The renewed Phoenix emerges from Santa Cruz after many diverse incarnations.
Before forming Phoenix, guitarist/songwriter Ernie Buck and bassist Kay Coghlan each spent many years honing their craft, both performing and touring with several other projects. Although their flight paths were separate for many years, the evolution of their musical careers was parallel. So it was a natural progression that they would eventually converge and become Phoenix.
